Take a 20 minute flight to Tower Hill (Orange Walk), and a 10 minute ride through sugar cane fields that brings you to the banks of the New River. Climb aboard and enjoy a boat ride through mangroves and swamp savannah. See monkeys, birds, bats, flora, turtles, and crocodiles as you make your way to the New River Lagoon and Lamanai Maya site.

There, walk through dense jungle and learn about Belizean bush medicine. Explore impressive Maya monuments, and climb the huge El Castillo Temple for an expansive view of the lagoon. Be sure to listen for Howler Monkeys, and look out for Toucans as you stroll through the rainforest.

Finally, visit the museum, enjoy a tasty Belizean lunch (included) and visit the gift shop before you get back on board the boat to begin your return journey to San Pedro.
